Bill Offers Breaks for Illegal Aliens
Immigration-reform legislation under consideration in the U.S. Senate would permit states to offer in-state tuition breaks to students who entered the United States illegally and would put those students on the path to permanent legal status.
The language in the measure, which was adopted last month by the Senate Judiciary Committee, mirrors that of a previously introduced bill, the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors, or Dream, Act. It proposes a two-step legalization
