Bill Gates Merges 2 Foundations to Form $17-Billion Philanthropy
Bill Gates, chairman of the Microsoft Corporation, is merging two of his foundations to form the wealthiest philanthropy in the country, with a net worth of $17.1-billion.
Officials of the merged foundation say its focus on higher education is likely to grow.
