Biggest For-Profit Education Company Makes a Bid for the Youth Market
Apollo Group, the company that built the University of Phoenix into the largest university in the United States by catering to working adults, is now moving to serve younger college students.
Apollo has opened a new institution called Axia College that will cater to recent high-school graduates who work.
Its first campus is in Mesa, Ariz. Axia is being operated as an arm of one of Apollo's lesser-known institutions, Western International University, which has four other campuses
