Bias in Surveys of Freshmen

Your coverage of the National Survey of Student Engagement misrepresents the actual process by which data are collected through the Cooperative Institutional Research Program's annual freshman survey ("A New Survey of 'Good Practices' Could Be an Alternative to Rankings," October 22).
