Beyond the Second Amendment
Gun control and gun rights have become important components of the battle between "blue states" favoring gun control and "red states" favoring gun rights. But the battles are about more than mere politics. Disputes over gun policy have become deeply enmeshed in the culture wars. Disagreements over the Second Amendment and its meaning are no longer fought on legal and policy grounds alone.
