I object to Carlin Romano's "What We Have Here Is ... the International Communication Association" (The Chronicle Review, July 28), criticizing the International Communication Association's 2006 conference in Dresden. ... Unhappy not to find in the conference program a panel that he thinks should be there, he decides to criticize a communication conference for not being a history conference.
