Berkeley's Summer-Reading List for Freshmen
This summer, incoming freshmen at the University of California at Berkeley will meet the minds of two dozen members of the faculty -- most of them current, some former, some dead. The college has released its recommended summer reading list, and though the subjects of the books run the gamut from architecture to slavery to vampires, they were all penned by Berkeley faculty members.
