Bennett College President Will Stay After All; Job Candidate's Pro-Palestinian Views Worry Some at Princeton U.; Director Leaves Boston U.'s Institute for Sexual Medicine
SECOND THOUGHTS: Two days after announcing her resignation from the presidency of Bennett College, Johnnetta B. Cole, 68, changed her mind.
Last month Ms. Cole told students, faculty, and alumnae at the Greensboro, N.C., women's college that she would resign this summer. She cited a group of faculty members who "were trying to hinder her ability to lead Bennett in the direction it should be going," says Wanda Mobley, director of public relations for the college.
