Beloit College Turns Over Bookstore Operations to Barnes & Noble

After slightly less than a year of running an off-campus bookstore, officials of Beloit College said the job was too much for them to handle.

On June 1, Barnes & Noble College Bookstores Inc. will add Turtle Creek: The Beloit College Bookstore to the more than 450 college operations that the company manages nationwide. The college will retain ownership of the 10,000-square-foot bookstore, located in downtown Beloit, a small Wisconsin
