To achieve peak physical condition, Olympic athletes will subject themselves to strict diets, grueling workout schedules, mental duress, and now — thanks to researchers at Scotland's Napier University — pollution-laden air.
Soon Britain's Olympic hopefuls will be able to test their mettle in a new, specially built environmental chamber that can mimick the ozone-heavy, smog-filled atmosphere of Beijing, site of the 2008 Summer Games.
