Background: Beckie Supiano, who joined The Chronicle of Higher Education in 2008, covers financial aid, admissions, and religion. In the spring of 2009, she spoke on a media panel at the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities’ Marketing and Communications Leadership Summit.
Supiano earned a bachelor’s degree in comparative religion from Miami University (Ohio) and a master’s in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. At Medill she was selected as a News 21 Carnegie-Knight Initiative journalism fellow and was invited to participate in the Lilly Endowment's specialized-reporting program in religion, spirituality, and ethics.
