Baylor U. President Wins Vote of Confidence
Baylor University's Board of Regents voted this month to reaffirm its support for President Robert B. Sloan Jr., despite three recent calls for his ouster.
The regents voted 31 to 4 to support the embattled president and praised him for his "bold leadership." The board also restated its support for Mr. Sloan's controversial 10-year plan to make Baylor a top research university with a stronger Christian identity.
