Bankers Dislike Bill's Provisions Weakening Rules on Data, Which Could Benefit an Arizona Company

Protests might have been expected after Democrats in the House of Representatives, as part of a major higher-education bill introduced last week, proposed weakening federal rules that restrict student-loan providers from releasing their borrowers' personal data.
Less predictable was that the protests would be led by the lenders.
