Ball State Gets 2 Years' Probation for NCAA Rules Violations
The National Collegiate Athletic Association has placed Ball State University on probation for two years after finding that students there misused nearly $27,000 in athletics scholarship funds for books for other students. The university's softball program was also faulted for exceeding daily and weekly practice-hour limitations.
