Bad Chemistry

For sophomores aspiring to be physicians, it's still the No. 1 source of stress: organic chemistry.

Rumors abound about the course's career-crushing potential, and in some cases they prove to be true. Students with no affinity for chemical reactions often see their doctoring dreams dissolve when they bomb on their "orgo" midterms, which many colleges administered last month.
