Bad Behavior at Sports Events
To the Editor:
I was very interested in "Crying Foul Over Fans' Boorish Behavior" (The Chronicle, April 9). Having watched the entire coverage of the National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament, resplendent with close-ups and slow-motion replays of the coaches, I suggest that the house cleaning begin where the university has the most influence: the coaching staff. A certain coach was frequently shown mouthing profanity when he took exception to some of the referees' calls.
