Average Tuition Rises 4% in a Year, More Than Twice the Rate of Inflation

The largest increase is at 4-year, private colleges and universities

The average cost of college tuition rose roughly 4 per cent this year, a slightly smaller increase than last year's, according to the annual survey by the College Board.
