Auteur! Auteur! On Being Published in Paris

During my years as a publisher, I have sent many a hapless author "on the road." Invariably, all have come back with the same sad story. Having visited countless cities and been on endless radio and television programs, they have met almost no one who has read their book or asked any but the most banal questions. So it was with some hesitation that I embarked last spring on my own "media tour."
