Austrian Court Upholds Conviction of the Holocaust Denier David Irving

Austria’s Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of David Irving, the British researcher who claims to have recanted his longstanding views that the Nazi genocide of Jews and others did not happen, the Associated Press reported. The court ruled on an appeal by Mr. Irving of his February conviction on charges of Holocaust denial, which is illegal in Austria (The Chronicle, February 21). Another Austrian court is considering Mr. Irving’s appeal of a three-year jail term, which he is currently serving.
