Australian Students Object to Online-University Consortium
Students at Australian colleges are attacking a plan to create a global online university called Universitas 21, charging that the reputations of the universities involved would be threatened.
The National Union of Students backed protesters who demonstrated outside Queensland University's governing-council meeting last month. A union official said "up to 20" students participated.
