Auburn U. Trustees Punt on Athletics
Auburn University's Board of Trustees dissolved its athletics committee this month, hoping to persuade Auburn's accreditating agency to take the university off probation.
The new arrangement, approved unanimously by the board, gives the president of the university the "full conduct and control of Auburn's athletics program," according to the written policy.
The president will also be required to report to the board periodically on updates about athletics-department
