Auburn U., Facing a Review of Its Actions, Sues Its Accreditor
Auburn University filed a lawsuit against the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools this month in federal court, accusing the regional accreditor of violating its own policies in a planned review of the university.
Faculty members at Auburn, who had asked the Southern association to step in, said they believed that the highly unusual lawsuit was an effort to intimidate the agency.
