Auburn Alumni Ask Trustee to Resign

Alumni of Auburn University are putting pressure on a longtime trustee to take one for the team.

The Auburn Alumni Association wrote a letter this month to the university's Board of Trustees and president, William F. Walker, calling for the resignation of Robert E. Lowder and the creation of an ethics code for the board. The goal is to help the university clear its record with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the letter said. The accreditor placed Auburn on probation
