Athletics and Academics at Rutgers

I can only assume that Jim Naughton, who wrote the insightful August 14 article about "A Financial and Moral Battle Over the Role of Athletics" at Rutgers University, didn't write the sub-headline on the cover: "Rutgers debates the costs of improving its money-losing and game-losing sports program." The major thrust of the article is that Rutgers 1000 -- a group of faculty members,
