At Temple U., the City Is the Classroom
Joseph T. Suddath grew up in rural Williamsport, Pa. When he decided to transfer from the technical college there, he chose Temple University, in Philadelphia, because he wanted to meet people who didn't look or talk like those in his hometown.
About a month into his first semester, Mr. Suddath found what he had been looking for: a paint-splattered street artist. Normally, he would have simply walked on by, but he stopped because he was expected to for his "Creative Spirit"
