At Southern Illinois U.'s Student Center, No Signs Allowed

Guess they didn't see the sign that said, "No signs allowed."

Eight student protesters at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale had planned to gather one day last month at the student center, where the Board of Trustees was meeting, to demand a greater student voice in decision making. But when they tried to walk through the front door with their placards, a police officer threatened to arrest them for trespassing.
