At National Convention, Community-College Officials Ponder the Future
At a conference in Nashville last week, community-college officials looked into their crystal balls to consider how to position their institutions to gain the maximum advantage 10 years from now. They advocated more involvement in their communities, teaching skills useful for landing jobs, and more-aggressive lobbying for increasingly scarce public funds.
