Harvard University plans to use an American Idol format to pick its next president, according to The Spoof, an online humor magazine. Under the plan, the university’s faculty members will serve as judges in the talent-show selection process, and a Harvard official said most professors would be happy to take part. “When our tenured faculty go to bed at night,” he said, “they dream of waking up with Simon Cowell’s accent or looking like Paula Abdul—if not both.”
