Astronomy Professor Leads Effort to Webcast Live Views of Sundials Around the World
Woodruff Sullivan's new project has its home on the Internet, but at its heart lies a piece of equipment that's anything but high-tech: a sundial.
Mr. Sullivan, a professor of astronomy at the University of Washington at Seattle who describes himself as a "sundial nut," leads EarthDial, a project that encourages schools, community groups, and astronomy enthusiasts to build their own sundials.
