Assessing Emissions Levels in Higher Education
On the journey to climate neutrality, colleges are reaching early milestones. Over the past month, more than 180 signatories of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment turned in their greenhouse-gas inventories, the first report required by the agreement. The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education took data from 163 of the reports and calculated average percentages for their carbon emissions, which are listed below.
