Asking for More
Facing financial woes, students and their families appeal colleges' decisions on aidWhen she's not "praying to the job gods," Nancy Kutrumbof has been contacting the financial-aid offices of the University of Connecticut and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, asking for more aid for her two sons, who attend the colleges.
Ms. Kutrumbof's husband was laid off from his job in Wilton, Conn., in December, and the family now has no income except for unemployment
