Arizona State U. Updates the Student Tour Guide --Â With Computers
A prospective student who wants a tour of one of Arizona State University's three campuses this fall may borrow a set of headphones and a handheld computer hooked up to the Global Positioning System, or GPS.
Once the student dons the headset and starts walking, the computer will use satellite technology to track the student's location, playing an audio file describing the student's surroundings each time he or she arrives at a point of interest on the campus.
