Argentine Medical School Goes to Court to Prevent Easing of Admissions Standards
An Argentine medical school has gone to court to fight a decision to require it to enroll students who fail its entrance exam.
The National University of La Plata's governing council, which includes administrators, faculty members, and students, decided in April to change the role of entrance exams in order to broaden access to higher education for students from weak high schools, said Raúl Perdomo, the university's vice rector.
