Approval Ratings for Presidents
To the Editor:
Michael Nelson's comment that "Reagan left office with an approval rating of 68 percent, a level exceeded by no other president in the history of polling" is misleading in the extreme ("Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, and the Power of GOPtimism," The Chronicle Review, March 17).
