Applications Rise at Medical Schools

A record number of students matriculated at American medical schools this fall after applications increased for the third consecutive year, the Association of American Medical Colleges announced last week.

The 2005-6 entering class cracked the 17,000 mark for the first time, with a 2.1-percent increase over last year.
