Appeals Court Revives Reverse-Discrimination Lawsuit Against U. of Texas
In one of the first applications of a 1996 decision banning the use of racial preferences by Texas public universities, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit last week revived a lawsuit charging that the University of Texas at Austin discriminated against white applicants.
Francois Daniel Lesage was denied admission to the university's doctoral program in counseling psychology at the Austin campus.
