Appeals Court Overturns Ruling Against Northeastern U. in Student's Death
The Appeals Court of Massachusetts last week overturned a jury's decision to award $4-million to the parents of a Northeastern University student whose death resulted, they charged, from the campus health clinic's failure to diagnose her leukemia.
The ruling came more than a decade after Michel Goldberg, a freshman from Fort Lee, N.J., died of complications from the disease, in 1993.
