Louisiana Appellate Court Sides With Tulane in Suit Over Closing of Women's College

A Louisiana court of appeals ruled on Monday that Tulane University was within its rights to merge its undergraduate college for women into a new coeducational undergraduate division last year as a cost-saving measure after Hurricane Katrina.
