Anti-Sweatshop Group Criticizes Cap Maker
A year-old anti-sweatshop group formed by 82 colleges has criticized the injury rate at a New York State company that makes baseball caps for many of the group's member institutions. Employees at the plant have been on strike since mid-July.
The accusation by the Worker Rights Consortium marks the first time that it has condemned the domestic labor practices of a company in the United States.
