Anti-Sweatshop Group of Colleges Votes to Require Disclosure of Factory Locations

A little more than a year ago, no clothing makers disclosed the locations of their factories.

Now, in a demonstration of the effectiveness of anti-sweatshop protests on campuses, all 135 colleges and universities in the Fair Labor Association will be required by the end of this year to demand the locations of all facilities where goods they license are made.

The action, agreed to last week by the association's University Advisory Council, is notable
