Another Memorable Name
The accrediting association for business schools thinks it has finally resolved the identity crisis that has plagued it for the past few years. The key word, however, may be "thinks."
The group had been known for decades as the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business. It decided to change its name in 1996 to reflect its new, global reach. Reluctant to relinquish its brand name, the group settled on AACSB: The International Association for Management Education.
