Animal-Rights Group Ransacks U. of Minnesota Labs
Members of the Animal Liberation Front ransacked laboratories and confiscated 116 animals last week in an early morning break-in at the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities campus.
Graduate students, including Sharad Shanbhag, spent the week surveying the damage and cleaning up. The animal-rights group, which claimed responsibility for the incident in a press release, spray-painted the walls and furniture, and destroyed microscopes,
