Analysis Questions Accuracy of College Board's Tuition Projections

The College Board's annual reports on tuition have underestimated the average increase in each of the last four years, prompting a financial-aid analyst who discovered the discrepancies to say the board's figures bear "little relationship to reality" because they are based on estimates.

Earlier this year, Mark Kantrowitz, publisher of FinAid, a Web site about financial aid, found disparities between the figures reported in recent College Board press releases and those published in
