An Overemphasis on Learning Styles
To the Editor:
I read Rob Jenkins's "The Community-College Interview" (Careers, February 17) with great interest. I believe the community-college mission is vital to the lives of individual students and to the larger community. With the exception of P-12 public education, no other institution may as effectively facilitate democratic engagement. That said, I was dismayed by much of Jenkins's focus, primarily the question, "Are you familiar with various learning styles?"
