An Inexperienced Teacher Should Not Blame Affirmative Action for 'Difficult' Students

Linda Chavez makes a better case for strong teacher training at the graduate-assistant level than for discontinuing affirmative-action programs ("Remembering the Negative Side of Affirmative Action," The Review, September 27).
