Institution's president seeks 'humanitarian corridor' as conditions worsen
As war raged in southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut last week, volunteers from the American University of Beirut Medical Center treated the thousands of refugees who crowded into makeshift shelters where conditions were rapidly deteriorating.
