American Scholar Detained by China Returns to the United States
A Chinese-born American professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology has returned to the United States from China after being arrested and detained for two weeks on charges of espionage.
The U.S. Consulate in Shanghai has formally protested both his treatment there and the delay by the Chinese government in telling the United States that he had been arrested.
