The January 28 "Peer Review" report on the American Philosophical Association quotes sources identified as "Mr. Hoffman's allies" who say that the attempt by Eric Hoffman, the association's former executive director, "to make the national office a player" was frustrated because "[t]he real problem with the A.P.A. ... is its structure."
