American Council on Education to Reward Veterans-Friendly Campuses With Grants
The American Council on Education will provide $2-million in grants to veterans-friendly institutions and create a Web site to inform veterans about their education benefits, the group announced on Monday.
The grants of $100,000 each, which will be financed by the Wal-Mart Foundation, will reward colleges that have created programs to help veterans enroll and succeed in higher education. Grant recipients will be required to use a portion of the money to help other institutions
