The Drexel University chapter of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity has been suspended by its alumni following allegations that some of its current members had posted sexually explicit photographs and comments about female students at the university on a members-only section of the chapter’s Web site.
According to The Triangle, Drexel’s student newspaper, the chapter’s alumni president, Charles Williams, said the incident was the latest in a string of missteps by members that had concerned alumni members.
In response, Mr. Williams forced all current residents of the fraternity to move out of their chapter house, and will be working with a few “core” undergraduate members who were invited back to help reorganize the fraternity in the fall. —Elizabeth F. Farrell
